All applications may be submitted by email to the Permitting Division [email protected] or to the Department of Development Services on the third floor of City Hall, 71 East Troy Street, Tupelo, MS. Fees may be paid by mail or in person.  All applications require a current recorded deed and completed application. If the owner is not the applicant, a lease is required.

Please use the GIS, Maps, & Location Information link to identify land use restrictions at your location and any additional application requirements. Incomplete applications will delay permitting.

Some application require a pre-development conference with the Planning and Zoning Division. Please schedule a meeting with Division staff prior to submitting your application to help expedite your permit approval.

Preliminary plans may be submitted to the Building Division for initial review by contacting Division staff.

No land development, demolition, construction, or occupancy of a structure can occur within the City of Tupelo without an approved permit from the Department of Development Services.

Privilege Licenses, Transient Vendor Licenses, and Solicitor’s License Applications are reviewed by the City’s Department of Finance, www.tupeloms.gov/departments/finance.
